Change RO Filters Regularly
The filters
installed in an RO system have a limited life and need to be changed
periodically. While the RO membrane can last for 2-3 years, the
pre-filters need to be changed at least one in 6-9 months. Not doing
so could lead to reduced production of clean water as well as reduced
efficiency of the system as a whole.

once in a year, the system should be cleaned inside out by a
professional. You can opt for a system sanitization or system
recharge. Complete sanitization of the system ensures greater

Maintain the Cleanliness of the Exterior as Well
Cleaning
the inside of the system is not enough. A dirty exterior can nullify
the purification of the RO

if not taken care of. Ensure that the taps and the exterior of the
machinery do not get affected by dirt and grime. Wipe them clean
regularly.

Use a Water Softener for Better Efficiency
If a water
softener is installed along with the RO system, the life of the RO
system can be increased even more as the filter will not have to
fight those impurities.
