Make Quick Healthy Dishes with Mixer Grinder

Having a useful range of kitchen appliances at home can make your cooking tasks a lot easier. While a few of these appliances are optional to own, there are a few appliances that you just cannot do without in a kitchen. A mixer grinder is one such must-have appliance that can be your perfect kitchen companion. Whether it is powdering spice quickly and grinding masala paste to add to your dish, a mixer grinder can come in handy. Read on to find out a few quick healthy dishes that you can make with a mixer grinder.

Coconut Chutney

Coconut chutney is one of the healthiest side dishes for idlis, dosas, and chapattis. Making this yummy delicacy is absolutely easy and quick using a mixer grinderAdd a cup of freshly grated coconut, two tablespoons of fried gram dal, 2-3 green chillies, 2 cloves of garlic, and salt (to taste) to the small grinder jar. Grind it to a paste by adding some water. Transfer the chutney to a bowl and pour over it a quick seasoning of mustard seeds and a sprig of curry leaves in hot oil.

Mango, Fig & Banana Smoothie

Smoothies of any combination of fruits and vegetables are healthy to drink up at any time of the day – whether it is for breakfast, brunch, or in between meals. Churning up a tall glass of this mango, fig & banana smoothie is a quick process with a mixer grinder. Add a cup of chopped sweet mango, banana, and 4-5 figs to your mixer jar and blend it smoothly along with a cup of plain milk and few ice cubes. You can also replace plain milk with almond milk or cashew milk for a richer taste. Serve it fresh in a tall glass.

These are just two of the healthy recipes, but there’s a lot of other variations that you can try preparing in your mixer grinder. Besides smoothies and chutneys, you can prepare fresh batter for idlis, dosas, and vadas, grind masalas for gravies and curries, make cold coffee, and a lot more.
